Within the management team at MVV Trading GmbH, Dr. Thies Langmaack has been responsible for the Back Office and Commercial Affairs division since July 2016. A graduate in industrial engineering at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main in 2004, he subsequently obtained a doctorate in commercial IT. Having worked in controlling at Lufthansa AG, Lorenz Bahlsen GmbH and Bartec GmbH, from 2010 Dr. Langmaack then acted as Director of Group Controlling and Reporting at Mainova AG in Frankfurt.

Since 1 April 2024, Dr. Jan Brübach and Commercial Director Dr. Thies Langmaack have formed the dual leadership of the energy trading company MVV Trading GmbH of the Mannheim-based energy company MVV. Dr. Jan Brübach will be responsible for the Market division in future. The 45-year-old graduate engineer has held leading positions at the Essen-based chemicals group Evonik Industries over the past ten years, most recently as Head of Energy Trading and Portfolio Management. Prior to this, he held responsible positions at the predecessor company of today's Entega, HEAG Südhessische Energie, in Darmstadt.
