MVV Energie AG appoints Annette Geiß as its new Chief Financial Officer

At a meeting held today, the Supervisory Board of MVV Energie AG appointed Annette Geiß (55) to be Chief Financial Officer of MVV Energie AG with effect as of 1 January 2027. At MVV, she will be responsible in future for Accounting and Tax, Controlling, Treasury, IT, Facility Management and Materials Management.

From 2027, the Executive Board of MVV Energie AG will comprise the following members:

• Dr. Gabriёl Clemens, Chief Executive Officer and Labour Director
• Annette Geiß, Chief Financial Officer 
• Dr. Hansjörg Roll, Chief Technology Officer, and 
• Dr. Johannes Werhahn, Chief Marketing Officer.

Annette Geiß holds a degree in business administration and will be joining MVV Energie AG from Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), where she will remain as CFO until the end of 2026. An experienced manager, Annette Geiß previously held the position of CFO at the energy supplier STEAG GmbH and various management roles at the E.ON Group, HSBC Trinkhaus & Burkhardt and Deutsche Bank.

Supervisory Board Chair, Mannheim’s Lord High Mayor Christian Specht, comments: "MVV faces years of capital-intensive activity, with a high volume of investment needed to transform the energy system.
