MVV pays higher regular dividend and special one-off dividend
The Mannheim energy company MVV Energie AG is paying a dividend of Euro 1.15 per share, and thus Euro 0.10 per share more than in the previous year, for the past 2023 financial year (1 October 2022 – 30 September 2023). Furthermore, to mark the 150th anniversary of MVV and its predecessor companies in 2023 and given its exceptional earnings performance in the 2023 financial year, the company is distributing a special one-off dividend of Euro 0.30 per share.
By adopting this resolution, shareholders at the Annual General Meeting approved the recommendation made by the Executive and Supervisory Boards. With the distribution of the regular dividend and the one-off dividend, the MVV share will offer a dividend yield of 4.7 percent. Based on a total of 65.9 million shares, the dividend will result in a distribution total of Euro 95.6 million.
In addition to the resolutions customary to such, the Annual General Meeting also approved the proposals submitted by the Executive and Supervisory Boards concerning a new version of MVV’s Articles of Incorporation, including the creation of new authorised capital, and elected KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, Frankfurt am Main, for the first time as auditor for MVV’s financial statements for the 2024 financial year.
A total of 95.8 percent of the company’s share capital was represented at the Annual General Meeting.
