Verena Amann appointed to MVV’s Executive Board as Personnel Director from August

HR Director at United Internet to move from Karlsruhe to Mannheim – Supervisory Board Chairman, Mannheim’s Mayor Dr. Peter Kurz: “Verena Amann will bring an innovative approach to HR, extensive experience and great competence”

Verena Amann (38), currently HR Director at the internet company United Internet AG, is set to join the Executive Board of the Mannheim energy company MVV Energie AG as of 1 August 2019. This was announced by MVV in Mannheim on Wednesday. A graduate in business administration, Amann has held leading HR positions at the United Internet Group and its subsidiaries since 2007. She has headed the Group HR Department there since January 2015 and is also Managing Director of the service company United Internet Corporate Services GmbH.

"Verena Amann stands for an innovative approach to HR. With her extensive experience and great competence, she will make a major contribution to the further development of our company”, stressed MVV’s Supervisory Board Chairman, Lord High Mayor of Mannheim Dr. Peter Kurz. “This key personnel decision forms part of MVV’s consistent, forward-looking strategy.”

For MVV’s CEO, Dr. Georg Müller, Verena Amann represents an ideal addition to the Executive Board team, which alongside himself currently comprises Chief Sales Officer Ralf Klöpfer and Chief Technology Officer Dr. Hansjörg Roll. “Working together, we aim to promote our group of companies as one of the key drivers of the energy turnaround and as an important employer at our locations in Germany and abroad.” Alongside his responsibilities as CEO and Commercial Director, Dr. Müller was himself responsible for the HR department for nearly two years.

“I am greatly looking forward to moving to Mannheim and working together successfully and on a basis of trust with the Supervisory Board, my Executive Board colleagues, social partners and all employees”, commented Verena Amann in an initial statement. “Energy will be one of the most exciting and vital areas of the economy in future. The opportunity to assume responsibility and help shape developments at one of Germany’s leading companies in this area is especially appealing. With its municipal and regional roots, MVV offers the best conditions in this respect.”
