Dr. Christian Hower-Knobloch is Managing Director of MVV Umwelt GmbH since 1 October 2019 and is responsible for the market and commercial divisions. As Head of Corporate Development at STEAG GmbH in Essen, the lawyer and economist was previously responsible for group strategy and M&A activities as well as for the development of energy projects in Southeast Asia. Prior to this, he was in charge of STEAG‘s re-entry into the waste business and headed the management of the newly founded STEAG Waste to Energy GmbH until 2018.
Uwe Zickert is Managing Director of MVV Umwelt GmbH since 1 October 2020 and is responsible for the technical divisions. Having studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University in Munich, he first worked at Grosskraftwerk Mannheim AG, before joining MVV Umwelt in 2003. Here, he has held various responsible roles and implemented numerous successful projects enabling him to contribute his broad range of expertise and personal skills. He also played a key role in building MVV’s environmental energy business in the UK. As project director in Plymouth for five years, he managed the construction of the first energy from waste plant in Britain. Having returned to Mannheim, he remained responsible for the UK activities as Managing Director Technology at MVV Environment Ltd.
