The grid company IGS Netze GmbH was founded as of 1 October 2013 and is based in Gersthofen. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MVV Industriepark Gersthofen GmbH and thus conforms to the relevant unbundling legislation, which requires grids to be managed separately from sales and generation.

IGS Netze GmbH operates the electricity distribution grid at Gersthofen Industrial Park. As a distribution grid operator, the company provides a reliable supply of electricity to customers’ plants, which benefit from the high availability and quality of the supply infrastructure. As well as managing operations, the grid company also takes care of planning, expanding and maintaining the grid in line with requirements.
